Comments received after the deadline will not be posted and there is no guarantee that such comments will be considered.

ACTION:   Receive presentation and provide feedback as appropriate (formal action not required)

Public Comment - Affordable Housing policy

2.

Consider and provide guidance on policy decisions for the 2027 Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) Notice of Funding Opportunity.

The City’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) is a primary local funding source used to support the development and preservation of affordable housing. As staff prepares the 2027 AHTF Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), guidance from AHAB is requested regarding program priorities, eligibility criteria, and coordination with other housing funding tools.

ACTION:  Move to approve policy recommendations for 2027 Affordable Housing Trust Fund Notice of Funding Opportunity as provided by the AHAB.

Staff Report for AHAB AHTF Policy Recommendations

3.

Receive and consider staff recommendation to cancel 2026 AHAB retreat.

Staff recommends canceling the 2026 Affordable Housing Advisory Board (AHAB) retreat. As an advisory board to the Governing Body, AHAB goals and strategies will be aligned with the goals and implementation strategies identified in the A Place for Everyone Plan, and the Affordable Housing Study report goals as strategies after City adoption. Because these efforts will guide AHAB’s work moving forward, staff advices that a separate retreat to develop independent goals is not necessary at this time.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

The public is allowed to speak at public comment after first being recognized by the Chair. Each comment is limited to 3 minutes. Comments may be limited due to time constraints, per the direction of the Chair. As a general practice, the Board will not discuss or debate these items, nor will it make decisions on items presented during this time.
